EasyScripter - Technical Specification

Technical Specification

Detailed here are the minimum system requirements to run EasyScripter. EasyScripter requires installation of the ININ EasyScripter client software on each agent PC and Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 (or later).

Agents PC:

  • Any version of Microsoft Windows that supports Internet Explorer 7(or later)
  • ININ EasyScripter client
Script Editors/Developer PC:
  • Internet Explorer 8 (some browser settings may need to be altered for parts of the application)
  • 1024x768 or greater screen resolution. For advanced scripting, Microsoft SQL Server Client tools will be required
  • .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 required for Script Transfer Wizard
EasyScripter Application Server:
  • Windows 2003 Server
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008
  • Microsoft Internet Information Server 7
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
  • SQL 2005 & 2008 .NET Native Client/SQL Server 2005 & 2008 SMO/MS XML 6
Recommended Server Specifications:

21 - 60 2.4GHz Xeon Quad core processor, 6Gb RAM (3 * 2GB)
64-bit OS / 4GB 32-bit OS 250Gb hard disk space with hardware
RAID controller. (4 * 72GB - Raid 5)		 HP ProLiant DL360 G6 (part # 504635-421) or equivalent with options.
Options include:
1 * 72GB as On-Line spare, Redundant power supply, RAID controller back up battery with cache (BBWC)
61 - 150 The 21-60 seat specification may still be suitable, however it is advisable to run IIS and SQL on separate boxes to spread load.
This depends on script design, the rate of calls, and data extracts.
If required additional web servers may be added in a load
balancing configuration.

Expected End User Skills Set:

System Administrators ideally would require knowledge of:

  • Internet Information Service (IIS)
  • .NET Framework
  • Internet Explorer
  • Microsoft SQL server
  • Microsoft Windows - including knowledge of domains, user groups, permissions and services
  • Ability to view log files (event logs / IIS / SQL) for system health checks
  • Knowledge of trouble shooting SQL server issues - e.g. checking for locks etc advantageous
Script Builders would require knowledge of:
  • Basic computer skills (ability to navigate folders, browsing web pages using Internet Explorer etc.)
  • MS Office Skills (Reports can be generated in Excel, CSV, and MS Word etc formats)
  • JavaScript (useful but not essential - required for advanced scripting)
  • HTML (useful but not essential - required for advanced scripting)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL server and SQL commands (useful but not essential - required for advanced scripting)
Supervisors would require knowledge of:
  • Basic computer skills (able to use mouse, navigate folders, browsing web pages etc)
  • MS Office Skills (reports can be generated in Excel, CSV, and MS Word etc formats)
Agents would require knowledge of:
  • Basic computer skills such as browsing a web page and general Internet Explorer use
  • Telephone skills
